Creator guide
Prepare your adult art or comic for a publishing enquiry
What to include when discussing an existing adult artwork or comic with Folio: ownership, credits, a clear synopsis, sample links and creator support links.
Begin with one existing work
A useful publishing enquiry does not need a whole portfolio attachment. Start with one finished work or a short, coherent series you control. Share its title, your public creator name, an official portfolio link and the type of placement you would like to discuss.
Folio is an adult art and comics platform. Creator enquiries are currently handled by the team rather than an open self-service publishing account. An enquiry is a conversation about a possible placement, not an automatic submission acceptance or a request for unpaid custom artwork.
Make ownership and credits clear
Tell us whether you are the artist, writer, publisher or an authorised representative. Name the people whose credit needs to travel with the work, including collaborators and translators. If permissions are shared, explain who can approve the proposed use.
Mention any limits that matter to you: which images or chapters may be displayed, where they may appear, how long permission would last, and whether you require a private preview before publication. We need an explicit agreement before displaying your work. Sending a link, or having your work appear elsewhere online, is not permission. No AI-training rights are requested.
Write a useful public introduction
The public synopsis should explain what a reader is looking at without a graphic scene description. An original comic can introduce its premise, setting and visual approach. An illustration can explain the subject and why it belongs in a particular series. Use the actual title and the credited creator name.
Choose a small set of accurate tags rather than every popular search phrase. A misleading character name or unrelated theme may bring the wrong visitors and make your own work harder to find. Where a work is a continuation, explain its reading order instead of duplicating the same synopsis across every chapter.
Keep the review practical
Keep your original files and share a suitable review sample or official page first. Make page order unambiguous and check the sample at phone size: small dialogue, awkward crops and compressed lettering can make a strong comic difficult to read. Preserve visible credits and artist notices.
Include the Patreon, shop or social link you want associated with your credit. Tell us what existing licensing or affiliate arrangement you would prefer to discuss. Payment, placement and revenue terms are not assumed or set by this guide. Our separately labelled AI gallery is on a different subdomain; creator work is discussed for the main gallery, with that distinction disclosed during enquiries.
