Support independent adult-comics artists beyond a repost

Find the original creator, use their official support links and share a credited page instead of copying a comic or assuming free access grants permission.

Find the original source

An image can travel a long way from the artist who made it. Before following a support link, look for consistent credits and an official portfolio or shop. When a work has several contributors, a studio or publisher page may explain who made each part.

A watermark or a repost account is a starting point, not a complete record of ownership. If the source is unclear, avoid presenting a guess as fact. A useful recommendation names the work and creator, links to the source and explains what you appreciate about the work without copying its pages.

Choose the support route that suits you

Creators may offer a shop, a membership, a tip page or a newsletter. A purchase can support a particular finished work; a membership may support continuing production. Availability, billing and benefits belong to the creator or the service they use, so read their own description before joining.

On Folio, look for Support the creator and Creator social / original work on an artwork page when the creator has provided those links. Folio does not treat a link as proof of a commercial partnership. Any paid promotion or affiliate placement needs an appropriate disclosure.

Share the page, keep the credit

Sharing the artist’s official page or a credited public artwork page gives someone a route back to the original. Copying an entire comic into another feed can remove that route, strip the credits and bypass the artist’s chosen release format.

Credit and permission are separate. Naming an artist does not grant permission to upload, sell, translate or alter their work. If you want to publish a feature or host a sample, ask for the specific use you have in mind and respect the answer.

Help improve the record

If you notice an incorrect credit or a questionable upload on Folio, send the public page link through Support & safety. Include the correct official source if you know it, and explain the issue briefly. Do not share private account credentials or somebody else’s unpublished files.

Supporting independent artists is also about attention: following a project, remembering the creator’s name and returning to their official release page can be more useful than an uncredited repost. Start with one work you like and make its source easy for the next reader to find.
